888 Announce Special Dividend As Profits Soar

Annual profits for 888 Holdings are expected to be at the top end of expectations said the company on a conference call today to investors. Indeed the online gambling firm said there would be a special dividend helped by the growth in the US, more players choosing online gambling during the pandemic and elite sports resuming allowing for sports betting.

In the companies first half results it showed a rise of 56% in profits compared to the same period in 2019, helped by a similar 56% rise in daily revenues from 1^st July to 28^th September in the third quarter.

 Chief Executive Officer Itai Pazner said on the results: “We are pleased with our continued progress in the United States where revenue increased by 90% year-on-year … We remain excited by the potentially significant medium- to long-term opportunities for 888 in the U.S. market.”
