South Korean gambling rises over 7% for 2016

South Korean gambling is on the rise as the latest annual figures have shown, foreign only casinos, lottery and sports betting in the country saw a rise of 7.7% to $17.6 billion for 2016.

Actual official figures from the National Gambling Control Commission have not been released as yet but South Korean news agency Yonhap are quoting the numbers so far and insiders believe them to be accurate.

Currently South Korea has 17 casinos and the 18th is due to open in April just south of the countries capital Seoul at Incheon close to the airport.
