Maxims up for sale

Following the recent sale of the Les Ambassadeurs Club in London for $320 million to Paul Suen Cho Hung a Hong Kong investor, the Maxims Casino Club owned by Genting has now been placed on the “For Sale” market.

Genting has owned the Kensington based VIP club for 10 years when acquiring all of previous owner Stanley Group and only recently went through a multi-million pound refurbishment, it is understood the asking price is £40 million for the 150-year-old Victorian townhouse at Palace Gate House, which would include the freehold of the property.

Property consultancy firm CBRE have been tasked with the sale and said of the business that is has “strong worldwide interest for this thriving business with the benefit of a freehold in one of London’s most prestigious locations.” The sale offers “an exceptionally rare opportunity to gain a foothold in the exclusive London casino market, which benefits from both a strong domestic and international clientele.”
