US Listing For FanDuel Considered

Flutter Entertainment, the online gambling giant which has Paddy Power, Betfair and FanDuel among its brands has released a statement following reports over the weekend that the company is considering listing FanDuel on the US stock Exchange.
The FTSE 100 firm that acquired a 95% stake of the US facing sports betting brand back in 2018 said: “Flutter regularly evaluates its organisational and capital structure to assess how best to position itself to deliver upon the Group’s strategy.
“Options including the listing in the US of a small shareholding in FanDuel are being considered but no decision has been made at this time. Should a decision be made to proceed with a listing in due course, an announcement will be made as appropriate.”
This year alone some 19 states in the US are looking to pass legislation allowing for sports betting and FanDuel who has a 40% market share in all sports betting in the US and is twice the size of any of its competitors there would help Flutter generate large cash reserves with any possible float in the US.
