Rank Group Brings In Eitan Boyd To Boost Online Business
Eitan Boyd has been drafted in to help the Rank Group with their online gaming business as the new Group Chief Innovation Officer (CIO).
Boyd was the Chief Executive of Stride Gaming which Rank purchased in 2019 for £120 million and previously to this was CEO of Spacebar Media. Rank announced the promotion during an update to investors while at the same time informing them of the “first phase” on the new development of the Stride platform.
Rank needs to put more vigour into its online gaming business as it suffered a drop of 6% in net revenues to £136 million when announcing the companies latest annual results.
The company placed the drop in revenues to the COVID pandemic for online as both its brands Grosvenor Casino and Mecca Bingo were unable to operate due to forced shutdowns impacting the online business promotion of those products.
At the same time as announcing Boyd to the new role it stated that Jon Martin was promoted to the role of Managing Director of Rank’s UK digital portfolio.
