founder Sergey Karshkov has died from an allergic reaction following a routine check-up in Switzerland.

According to close friend Russian animator Pavel Muntyan who is a producer at Toonbox studio based in Russia.

Muntyan posted on his Facebook page, “I can’t believe it… I have a lump in my throat. It just can’t be! How so,” “Sergey was one of the most athletic and healthy people I knew! Like a bull!”

Muntyan said that Karshkov Karshkov who was born in Kyiv Ukraine in 1980, went to the Swiss clinic for an MRI scan but the MRI fluid administered caused an allergic reaction and following the scan itself Karshkov showed serious signs of an allergy, followed by falling into a coma and then dying shortly after.

Muntyan said, “He went to Switzerland for a checkup… Contrasting fluids for MRI and the subsequent MRI led first to allergies, then to a coma, and then to death,” Oh my god what a nightmare!! A nightmare.”

Karshkov was born in the Kyiv region and moved to Bryansk in Russia as an adult where he worked on combating cyber crime for the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

However the launch of 1xBet which is now based in Cyprus since 2016 found that the company and both founders Karshkov and Roman Semikhoin were involved in operating an illegal gambling operation and money laundering and although neither were in Russia were found guilty and were arrested in absentia and were named on an international arrest list.

Karshkov said at the time, “The situation was incomprehensible,” going on to say, that it became more comfortable to build an international project outside of Russia.”

Questions will be asked on how such a simple procedure caused the death of what was understood to be a healthy and young person.
