Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), the gaming technology testing and certification company, has announced that industry veteran Gavin Isaacs has joined its Board of Directors in an advisory capacity. The formal appointment remains subject to regulatory review and approval. The move brings more than 25 years of C-level gaming experience to the Lakewood, New Jersey-based laboratory at a time of strategic development for the company.

Isaacs is widely recognized across the global gaming sector for his leadership roles at some of the industry’s most prominent organizations. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Entain plc, the parent company of Ladbrokes and Coral, from September 2024 until his departure in February 2025, when the company announced his exit was by mutual agreement. His tenure at Entain lasted just over five months, during which non-executive chair Stella David assumed interim leadership.

Beyond Entain, Isaacs previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Scientific Games and served in a senior capacity at Games Global. His board and advisory experience includes roles with digital lottery courier Jackpocket, among others. A graduate of the University of New South Wales and based in Las Vegas, Isaacs has built a career spanning both land-based and digital gaming segments.

Strategic Timing for GLI

The appointment arrives several months after private equity firm CVC became GLI’s first outside investor, a development that has drawn increased attention to the laboratory’s governance and growth strategy. GLI delivers testing, certification, and assessment services for land-based, online, and lottery gaming across six continents, and holds accreditations under ISO/IEC 17025, 17020, and 17065 standards for technical competence.

GLI described the appointment in public statements, expressing enthusiasm about welcoming Isaacs to the board. The addition of an advisor with extensive operational experience at both suppliers and operators may offer the company broader perspective as regulatory requirements and technologies continue to evolve across regulated markets worldwide.
