Arrest Warrant Issued For Casino Mogul
Kazuo Okada the casino mogul and Pachinko king who is estimated to be worth billions of dollars has had a warrant for his arrest by the Philippine Department of Justice for misappropriating over $3 million from his own former casino Manila.
The charges stem from Okada’s time as Chief Executive of Tiger Resorts where prosecutors claim that either by mistake or fraud Okada took the funds in salary or consultancy fees that were not known by Tiger Resorts and were given by the former President of Tiger Resorts.
This latest legal case comes after now years of legal disputes and accusations against Okada who was once one of the largest casino operators in Asia.
The warrant was issued on Friday last week and it is not known the exact whereabouts of Okada if he is in the Philippines or elsewhere. Okada has always denied any wrongdoing.
