Caesars Palace & Flamingo Las Vegas To Open First

According to a statement released by Caesars Entertainment both the Flamingo and Caesars Palace will be the first casinos to re-open once the state’s governor allows.

Thursday 21^st May Caesars said that it will follow the strict guidelines set out by Nevada in re-opening its venues, one of those is the fee for self parking which will now be waivered.

Las Vegas casinos closed in the middle of March following governor Steve Sisolak’s order following the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in the US.

“Reopening Las Vegas in a phased approach will be a significant milestone for Caesars Entertainment as the country continues to emerge from this necessary closure period,” said company CEO Tony Rodio in a statement. “We are hopeful that the country’s continued progress in addressing COVID-19 and business conditions will allow us to reopen more of our properties and bring back more of our colleagues as it is appropriate to do so.”

Caesars said that their resorts will also offer lodging, dining, access to outdoor pools and some retail outlets in the resort will open.

The company also said that both the Harrah’s Las Vegas and the Linq gaming areas will shortly follow the re-opening of Flamingo and Caesars Palace.

Other safety measures will include closing every other slot machine to control social distancing measures and all staff will wear face masks and customers will also be encouraged to do so.

Caesars Entertainment employ some 30,000 employees in Las Vegas, however it is not clear how many of those staff will be returning to full work on opening.
