Chili Poker opening in San Francisco

Chili Gaming moving into San Francisco

French internet gambling group Chili Gaming has show its interest in the US market, advising that it is to open an office in San Francisco, with the focus on internet poker.

The company’s plans include the initial provision of a fully legal, free-to-play social poker gaming network using Chili’s proprietary software & virtual currency. The resulting multi-lingual site will also offer accessibility via mobile devices including Android & iPhone as well as the increasingly popular tablet appliances.

Chili’s choice of market is shrewd; the momentum in the US for the legalisation of online poker at both federal & state level is growing following the elimination of major potential competitors from the US market on Black Friday.

California is one of the states where there is substantial demand for online poker, & rivalry in the state legislature to get legalising bills passed.

Elsewhere, in both New Jersey & Nevada politicians are pressing ahead with legalisation moves, albeit conditional on federal approval.

A Chili Gaming spokesman revealed this week that the new free-for-play platform is technically advanced & could be offered as a turnkey product. Chili Gaming will itself be the first to use the new platform, & will welcome new partners as the concept evolves.
