Colorado See A 60% Rise In Revenues From Last Year

The Colorado Division of Gaming reported the April set of figures for sports betting showing a rise of 60% in revenues from the same month last year standing at $392.3 million for April 2022. However compared to the previous month in March revenues fell by 22% which last month was $505.6 million.

Of the sports most bet upon basketball came in as the most popular with gamblers betting some $146 million, then came baseball with $69.9 million, then ice hockey with $26 million followed by soccer generating $15.6 million.

The total amount of taxes collected from sports betting for the entire year now stands at $105 million and represents a rise of 67% compared to the same period in 2021.
