Cyprus To Celebrate Casino Official Opening

Cyprus is looking forward to the inauguration of its first fully licensed casino in Limassol. The casino, C2, held a soft launch in June. Two huge events are slated for this week to mark the grand occasion, according to an announcement made on Monday. Last night saw one of these events happen and the other will take place tonight.

The announcement further said that while the two events will function as the ceremonial opening of the casino, they are, in fact, a way to celebrate the success of the past three months which have seen C2 turn into a hot destination for tourists as well as locals. The celebrations are C2’s way of expressing their gratitude towards the community for their continued support and goodwill. The statement also informed that out of the 600 persons who have been employed at the casino, most are citizens of Cyprus itself.

A cocktail party was held last night especially for government officials and the business community of Cyprus. The public will be allowed entry to tonight’s party which has a range of surprises and festivities planned.

The celebrations tonight will enable the guests plenty of opportunities to win themselves cash rewards and other prizes. Meanwhile, they can help themselves to ample food from the Columbia Bistro, all the drinks they can want and other surprises which have been planned for the night.

Melco is planning to establish a number of smaller satellite casinos on the Mediterranean island. The casino will operate temporarily until work on Melco’s City of Dreams Mediterranean (CODM) resort is finished. The resort is looking at a completion date of 2021. C2 makes available two bars and a restaurant beside a VIP gaming area, 33 gaming tables and 258 slot machines.

$559 is being expended to construct Melco’s resort. CODM is planning to house 1,200 gambling machines, 136 gaming tables, a luxury hotel with 500 rooms, a concert hall and a health spa. It has been predicted that it may be able to draw an extra 300,00 tourists on a yearly basis.

Four other satellite casinos will throw its doors open to the island residents – all of them funded by Melco. The casinos planned for Paphos, Nicosia and Larnaca can be expected to be functional by the end of this year. The fourth casino which will open in Ayla Naca can be expected to be up and running by the first quarter of months in 2019.
