Entain Post Increased Earnings & Full Year Profit Revision

Entain the online gambling firm with Ladbrokes and Coral among its ownership has said it has raised its full year expectations following an improved first half performance.

The company saw a jump in first-half net gaming revenues of 22% and said that full year earnings are set now to be between £850 million to £900 million. Last year Entain posted profits of £843.1 million which was up from the £761.4 million in 2019.

In other news Entain said that it would double its in-house game design teams in India, Italy and the UK to some 300 to improve its original content for customers, similar to what Netflix are doing said the firm.

Chief Executive Jette Nygaard-Andersen said on the focus for original content: “We want to give customers an expanded choice in the markets we’re already in and add new experiences to reach out to new customers,”
