Entain Reported Interest in US Sporting Analytic Firm for $200 Million

Reports emerging out of the financial sector say that gambling giant Entain are lining up a bid for sports analytic company Angstrom Sports for around $200 million.
There has been no official announcement from either company but newswires are quoting from sources close to both companies.
Angstrom are a UK based firm that focuses on the US sports betting markets, the company describes itself as, “A complete US sports pricing solution, with coverage across MLB, NBA, NFL, PGA, NHL, NCAAB and NCAAF. We specialise in building player-level, play-by-play simulators that produce the most accurate lines in the industry and facilitate zero latency in-play pricing. Our pricing is unmatched in terms of granularity and the simulation based nature of our forecasting technology enables us to create any market or product, without limitation.”
The sector of analytics is a small part of the sports betting business but has grown along with the US expansion of sports betting.
As stated there has been no confirmation of a potential deal yet and Entain as a public listed company would have to disclose any potential deal or talks to acquire a company.
However the gambling firm that owns brands such as Ladbrokes and Coral has stated it is looking for new mergers and acquisition opportunities in 2023.
