Flutter Bosses Miss Out On Millions in Bonuses
Flutter Entertainments’ two big bosses missed out on millions in bonuses in the recent set of figures because the company failed to hit specific targets that triggers both Peter Jackson the CEO of Flutter and Jonathan Hill the Chief Financial Officers bonuses.
Indeed it is estimated that between them they lost out on more than £5 million in incentive bonuses compared to previous years.
In the companies financial report released last week show Mr Jackson received £4 million in 2022 compared to £7.26 million the year before. Also Mr Hill received £2.38 million in bonuses for 2022 compared to £4.2 million the year previously.
Bonuses are given out on the performance of the company with agreed targets they include operations outside the US, where the company with FanDuel performed well however outside the US Flutter came up lower than its targets for paying out extra bonuses to the top bosses.
Indeed earnings for non-US business hit £1 billion, the target for bonuses to kick in was set at £1.146 billion, the reason being although the UK performed well for Flutter both Sportsbet in Australia and Ireland missed its targets under what the company called challenging circumstances.
However the company ensured their top bosses did not lag behind its competition in salary when the company increased Mr Jacksons’ pay by 26% last year and Mr Hills’ basic pay by 20%.
