Full Tilt players given date for re-payments

Full Tilt Poker players in the US have been informed that their funds that have been stuck in limbo for over two year since the collapse of the online poker site prior to PokerStars acquisition, will start being paid back starting on the 16^th September.

The administrator that is responsible for paying back FTP players, the Garden City Group (GCG) say that players can apply for re-payments from that date till a closing date of November 15^th, giving them 2 months to apply for the return of funds frozen since the collapse of the site in April 2011 when FTP came crashing down with the exposure of what US DOJ officials said was a massive ponzi scheme operated by the former owners of the then worlds’ second largest online poker site.

FTP was reopened for business in November 2012 and non-US customers were immediately given access to their accounts, and allowed to withdraw their funds from the new owners the Rational Group who operate PokerStars as part of a US DOJ deal with the company.

One small twist in the re-payments is that players are able to claim for an amount up to their final balance on the 15^th April 2011. However, the time on that day is not specified. So, a player who went on a great run or one that crashed and burnt during that period could be in for a good or bad surprise when payments are given out.

Details on how to apply will be emailed to all concerned by GCG and also posted on the website for all US players to apply in the time frame given.
