Lui Che-Woo the father of Francis Lui at the International Gaming Awards
Francis Lui the Deputy Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment, the Macau casino resort operator has joined a consortium of investors to purchase a major London building.
The consortium made up of the brother of former Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa, Top Paramount along with Mr Lui have agreed to acquire the 11-storey building at 66 Shoe Lane for £258 million.
Once the deal is completed Mr Lui will have a 21% share in the building which is based in the City of London’s financial district and currently the occupants are Deloitte or its affiliates who hold the lease which expires in 2035.
In a statement from the new owners it said: “The directors believe that the formation of the joint venture company to acquire the property provides an opportunity for the group to expand and diversify its property investment portfolio and generate a steady flow of rental income to the group.”
