Inspire Entertainment Resort Reports Impressive GGR

Inspire Entertainment Resort, the casino leisure complex located in Incheon, South Korea, has disclosed its financial performance for the year ending September 30, 2025. The report marks a  milestone for the resort, particularly as it includes the first full year of operations for its foreigner-only casino, which opened its doors in February 2024. The resort has generated a gross gaming revenue (GGR) of KRW 267.23 billion (approximately US$184.7 million), an increase from the KRW 107.94 billion reported for a shorter previous period.

The reported GGR of KRW 267.23 billion reflects a strong performance, especially considering the relatively recent launch of the casino. The figures say the company indicate a strong demand for gaming services within the resort, which is strategically located near Incheon International Airport, South Korea’s primary air travel hub.

Year-on-Year Comparisons

Due to the casino’s opening date, direct year-on-year comparisons are not feasible. However, the increase in GGR suggests a positive reception from visitors and a growing interest in the resort’s offerings. The first phase of non-gaming activities commenced in November 2023.

Financial Losses and Operational Costs

Despite the impressive GGR, Inspire Entertainment Resort reported a net loss of KRW 154.83 billion for the reporting period, a decrease from the previous loss of KRW 265.45 billion.

The operating loss for the same period was KRW 46.12 billion, significantly lower than the previously reported KRW 156.38 billion.

Revenue Breakdown

The resort’s total revenue for the reporting period reached approximately KRW 415.98 billion, a rise from the KRW 219.04 billion reported earlier. This growth can be attributed to various segments:

• Hotel Sales: KRW 56.24 billion, up from KRW 46.17 billion.
• Food and Beverage Sales: KRW 51.70 billion, an increase from KRW 38.95 billion.
• Entertainment and Retail Services: KRW 32.14 billion, compared to KRW 22.23 billion previously.
• Rental Income: KRW 8.67 billion, up from KRW 3.74 billion.

In December 2024, Gyubum Ko was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Inspire Entertainment Resort. His leadership is hoped to steer the resort towards greater operational efficiency and strategic growth.
