Intralot Gambling Executive Found Dead In Hotel Room

Socrates Kokkalis Jr

Socrates Kokkalis Jr whose father owns Intralot among other companies and who works for Intralot as their business development has been found dead in the US while attending a nationwide gambling conference for regulators.

Police reported that Socrates Kokkalis Jr aged 34 was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Ohio while attending the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States where Intralot operates the machines that check the Ohio Lottery’s winning tickets.

Several Intralot employees where there for the conference and Socrates was due to visit his father’s satellite business’s Strongsville office with them but 90 minutes after he was due to show up employees raised the alarm and his body was found.

Police reports say that a number of bags of cocaine were found in his hotel room and initial conclusions are that his death is related to an overdose or to infected cocaine as Investigators reported they believe the cocaine was mixed with fentanyl. 

Kokkalis is the son of Greek telecommunications giant Socrates Kokkalis, who owns Intracom and its subsidiary Intralot and the company was looking to expand further into US territories with sports betting.
