Macau April revenues better than expected

macau gamblersThe world’s largest gambling hub Macau posted a 9.5% drop in revenues for April signalling the 23rd consecutive month of declines for gaming operators there.
However the decline in April revenues were better than analyst’s predictions of 11% to 16% in revenue falls for the month. But the near two year fall in revenues has seen casinos seen casinos lose half their takings in that time.
April revenue fell to 17.34 billion patacas ($2.17 billion), Macau government information showed.
