Macau reported an increase for September of 21.4% compared to the same period in 2012, according to government reports the gambling hub just off Hong Kong received $3.3 billion in revenues for the month, which was just off expectations for the gambling enclave, which were expected at 22%-25%, but with a typhoon hitting the southern part of China at the end of the month which disrupted travel for Chinese to Macau, it was still not a bad result for the World largest gambling hub.

On the 22nd September a severe typhoon hit close to Macau and Hong Kong, disrupting air, road and rail links in the surrounding areas and resulting in a lower influx of visitors into the casino hub.

For the 9 months of 2013 compared to the same period of 2012 the Macau gambling market has reported an increase of 16.7%.
