Melco Make New Donation To Aid Those Affected By Covid-19 In Macau

Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s who recently donated HK$20 Million to the Wuhan & Hubei fight against the Covid-19 virus has also now announced that they have also donated some MOP 5 Million ($625,000) to aid the Special Aid Fund for Workers in Need in collaboration with Macao Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM).

This recent donation will support local members of the Macau community who have unstable incomes and are severely impacted by the virus sweeping across China.

The Macao Federation of Trade Unions will help distribute the fund to those identified as those most in need.

Lawrence Ho, Chairman & CEO of Melco, said, “Melco stands hand in hand with the local community through these particularly difficult times. Our thoughts and concerns go to those families and persons affected by recent events, and we are grateful for the help of Macao Federation of Trade Unions for working with us and the community to fight against the virus. We will continue to work closely with the government to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers, colleagues, as well as their families and the community. We will do everything in our power to continue supporting those in need.”
