According to local press such shows as David Copperfield, Jabbawockeez and Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club will start again on the 6th November. However to ensure social distancing at the venues a maximum of 250 people may attend and there must be a distance of 25 feet from the audience to the main stage. Other social distancing measures will also be in force including separate entrances and exits for audiences.
President of Entertainment and Sports George Kliavkoff at MGM Resorts was quoted as saying: “After eight months, it’s time to bring entertainment back to the Entertainment Capital of the World,” said MGM Resorts’ President of Entertainment and Sports George Kliavkoff in a statement. “While there is a still a long road in our city’s recovery, the reintroduction of these shows is an important first step.”
It is also understood that other major operators are also looking at re-starting their shows in the coming weeks.
MGM Resort are due to announce their third quarter results Thursday 22nd October and analyst’s predict that the casino operator will miss its expectations on revenues.
