Nevada Casinos Post $1.2 Billion February Win, Up 1.5%

Nevada casinos generated $1.2 billion in gaming revenue during February, posting a 1.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The modest growth reflects returning strength in the state’s gaming sector, as a matter of fact, driven primarily by strong performance in baccarat and sustained player activity across major gaming markets. The Las Vegas Strip led revenue generation statewide, coupled with solid contributions from regional properties.

Nevada Casinos Generate $1.2 Billion in February Revenue

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported total gaming win of $981,737,763.35 for February 2026, according to data from the Nevada Gaming Control Board. This performance represents the 60th consecutive month that revenue exceeded $790 million. The fiscal year-to-date figures show gaming win increased 0.79% through February.

Clark County dominated regional performance with $850,947,914.98 in gaming win, marking a 0.74% increase compared to February 2025. Washoe County demonstrated stronger growth, reporting $66,835,410.72 in gaming win for a 7.13% year-over-year increase. Reno operations within Washoe County posted $48,107,172.66, representing a 7.73% gain.

Elko County recorded $26,682,804.68 in gaming win, rising 7.68% compared to the previous year. Wendover operations contributed $17,518,202.50, showing a 2.11% increase.

Not all areas shared in the growth. Downtown Las Vegas posted $55,418,224.19 in gaming win, declining 4.18% from February 2025. Laughlin faced steeper challenges with $30,577,753.44 in gaming win, representing an 8.83% decrease. The February results came from 443 reporting licensees across Nevada.

Baccarat Wins Drive Revenue Growth

Baccarat performance on the Las Vegas Strip propelled February’s revenue increase. Strip baccarat win reached $143.35 million, up 81.9% from a year ago, with volume hitting $0.79 billion, representing a 47% increase. The game’s strong showing aligned with pre-pandemic figures, signalling the return of Asian gamblers for Lunar New Year, which occurred in February rather than January as in the previous year.

Casino hold on baccarat reached 17.7% in February compared with 14.3% a year earlier. This elevated hold percentage contributed significantly to overall revenue gains. Table game win statewide recorded the third highest all time with the second highest amount ever wagered. On the Strip specifically, table game win also ranked third highest all time with the sixth most ever wagered.

The baccarat surge contrasted sharply with sports betting results. Nevada sportsbooks reported sports betting revenue of $28.03 million, down 14% from last year. Football betting revenue slid nearly 70% year-over-year to just $3.41 million. Super Bowl LX handle totalled $106.26 million, the lowest in at least a decade.

Las Vegas Strip Leads State Gaming Revenue

Strip properties captured 56% of Nevada’s total gaming win, establishing the corridor as the state’s dominant revenue generator. The Las Vegas Strip posted $552.97 million in gaming win, reflecting a 0.86% increase from February 2025 when revenue reached $548.21 million. This modest gain marked a significant turnaround from January, when Strip gaming win dropped 11%.

Despite the monthly increase, the Strip trails its fiscal year pace by approximately $49.24 million, representing a 0.88% shortfall. Strip casinos won nearly $95.30 million on baccarat with a hold percentage of 14.6%, with players losing about $25.41 million more than the previous year.

Other Clark County markets demonstrated stronger growth rates. Balance of Clark County properties generated $117.54 million, up 2.87% year-over-year. Boulder Strip operations recorded $61.36 million in gaming win, posting a 3.54% increase. North Las Vegas properties contributed $19.22 million, rising 4.74%.

Smaller markets also delivered gains. South Lake Tahoe reported $14.23 million in gaming win, up 1.53%. Mesquite operations reached $13.80 million, climbing 5.16% compared to February 2025.
