So at close of business on Monday the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said that there had been a total of nine operators in the county applied for an online gaming license out of the thirteen casino operators in Pennsylvania.

Those that applied were: Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem; Hollywood Casino in suburban Harrisburg; Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh; Mount Airy Casino Resort in northeastern Pennsylvania; Valley Forge Casino Resort, Harrah’s Casino and Parx Casino in suburban Philadelphia; and SugarHouse Casino and Live! Hotel and Casino in Philadelphia.
That leaves operators within the state that did not apply so far are: Meadows Racetrack & Casino, Mohegan Sun Pocono, Presque Isle Downs and Lady Luck Nemacolin.

The deadline was a special offer to operators that should they apply before the deadline the cost of the license would be $10 million, now should any others want to apply the price is $12 million.

Those that noticed the name Sands Bethlehem in the applications list which was owned by Sheldon Adelson up to March, it is well known Adelson’s hatred of online gambling, but the new owners the Poarch Band of Creek Indians seem more welcoming of taking the opportunity.
