The extension gives operators, suppliers, manufacturers and affiliates from across the global gaming industry a final opportunity to submit entries, with nominations for the 2027 ceremony taking place on Sunday 17th January 2027 at the five-star InterContinental Hotel in Barcelona already surpassing previous years.
Colin Thompson of Clever Duck Media said: “The response to our call for nominations for the 20th International Gaming Awards has been extraordinary, reflecting the strength and depth of talent across both the online and land-based sectors. We appreciate that the busy autumn calendar of industry events makes October a demanding month, and we want to ensure that every deserving company has the opportunity to be part of our landmark 20th ceremony. Extending the deadline to 26th October gives the whole industry one final week to get their entries in.”
The 2027 IGA features 33 categories spanning the full breadth of the industry, from Online Casino Operator of the Year and Sports Betting Operator of the Year to Games Studio of the Year, Safer Gambling Award and Sustainability Award. Two brand-new categories debut for 2027: Game Changer of the Year, recognising companies that have delivered a truly stand-out product, service or initiative, and White Label Provider of the Year.
Entries are judged by a stellar international panel of industry professionals, representing organisations including Betsson, bet365, Entain, LeoVegas, Coolbet, Immense Group, SkyCity Online, Alea, BetConstruct and Melco, with evidence supplied counting from October 2025 to September 2026.

There is no fee to enter the International Gaming Awards. Entrants are simply asked to support the event’s charitable initiative with a donation to the IGA’s chosen charities.
