POKER traffic within the cyber gaming world continued its eight-week decline recently. The independent online poker monitor Poker Scout reported a loss of 3.5%.
It reported that traffic is down 11% since late February compared to a 5% drop over the same pre-Black Friday time-span last year.
On a year-on-year basis, PokerScout reports that online poker traffic, excluding Italy, has decreased by 36% in the last year.
In another dismal week, even Pokerstars lost ground as its new Zoom speed poker initiative eased, although it still generated 25 percent of all cash game action on the giant site. Svenska Spel & Bodog delivered the best improvements over the week, jumping three & two places up the leader board respectively, whilst Everest Poker’s French site dropped 3 positions, & PartyPoker.fr dropped two places.
The main sites of PokerStars, PartyPoker & the iPoker Network continue to inhabit the top three spots, with Merge Poker, 888Poker & Bodog Poker showing remarkable gains of 69, 49 & 31 percent respectively.
