Outrage At Cinema Booking For Gambling Promotion

Reports in Australia that a cinema chain is sending out gambling promotional offers once customers book cinema tickets online is causing some outrage there.

According to reports in Australia where a recent survey found that nationals are already rated as the biggest gamblers per head in the world are receiving emails from cinema chain Hoyts once they book their tickets to deposit $10 at Ladbrokes and receive $80 in free bets.

The Daily Mail Australia are questioning the legality of the promotion from Hoyts for Ladbrokes free bets and if legal or morally correct to encourage gambling to customers who are booking a leisure activity not related to gambling.

Some of the quotes from customers receiving the promotion on social media said:

‘That is astounding. We are world class gamblers for a reason,’ another wrote:

‘Advertising gambling is insane. I don’t understand how it can be legal.’
