The figure represents a 15.4% increase compared to December 2024, which recorded $281.2 million. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) said the growth is a combination of factors, including increased player engagement and the expansion of online gaming options.
The total revenue for Pennsylvania’s iGaming sector in 2025 reached $3,463,152,378, marking a 27.7% increase from the previous year’s total of $2.71 billion. This growth trajectory has solidified Pennsylvania’s position as the leading state for online casino revenue in the United States, outpacing competitors such as New Jersey and Michigan.
In comparison, New Jersey’s online casinos reported a total revenue of $2.91 billion for 2025, while Michigan is expected to finish the year with around $3.05 billion. Pennsylvania stands out as the only state to achieve monthly revenues exceeding $300 million for three consecutive months.
The rise in online gaming revenue has also translated into significant tax contributions for the state. In December alone, Pennsylvania generated over $115 million in tax revenue from its online casinos. For the entirety of 2025, the state collected approximately $1.24 billion in tax revenue.
