Resorts World Las Vegas when completed

Genting’s $4 billion development “Resorts World Las Vegas” will begin full-scale construction  proper in the last three months of this year with a completion date of early 2019 said one official linked with the company, however previously Genting said they expected to be completed and operational in 2018.

The confusion on the completion date is put down to the complex nature of the design of the resort and the slowdown in the Asian economy.

With the official ground breaking ceremony taking place in May 2015 many observers believed that Genting would be on time with the project, but it seems even the strength of Genting has been affected by the Chinese economic slowdown.

Once completed Resorts World Las Vegas will sit on the north end of the strip on the site of the former Stardust hotel and casino. At the time of Genting making the ceremonial ground breaking, the Governor of Nevada Mark Hutchinson said of the resort, “it would  be a magnificent addition” to the tourism industry and a “jewel in the desert.”
