Spotlight Sports Group Announce New Partnership

Sports content giant Spotlight Sports Group have announced a strategic partnership with Spanish media outlet Diario AS.

It’s understood the move has transpired in order to support the Spanish firm’s fledgling pursuits in the sports betting arena. Diario AS has a huge local profile, hosting several popular publications and operating as a leading sports reporter since its inception in 1967.

Spotlight Sports will provide specific gaming expertise to the media firm, with Chief Executive Harry von Behr confident the endeavour will return mutual benefits for each party, stating,

‘This partnership positions Spotlight Sports Group as a leading provider of sports betting affiliate and engagement technology across the global publishing sector’

Furthermore, with Diario AS well-positioned in a range of potential sectors of interest, it’s easy to chart how Spotlight may exploit the new partnership to secure additional resource and revenue streams in new markets. Diario AS parent company PRISA holds an extensive list of media channels, inclusive of radio, newspaper and television enterprises.

This latest enhancement platforms the business well to potential investment suitors, as Spotlight continues to grow its global presence in efforts to become the biggest player in the sports betting theatre. It already provides solutions in over 70 different languages, and launched a dynamic new publisher suite in September this year.

However, there may be a certain element of posturing to Spotlights recent activity. It’s rumoured that Exponent, the private equity firm behind the company, may be receptive to offers for the brand.
