Super Group Revises FY25 Forecast After Improved Q3

Super Group, the parent company of Betway sportsbook and Spin online casino, has announced an upward revision of its revenue and earnings projections for the fiscal year 2025. This adjustment follows a robust performance in the third quarter the company said, which exceeded market expectations.

The company has revised its revenue forecast for 2025 to a range of $2.125 billion to $2.200 billion, a significant increase from the previous estimate of just above $2.04 billion. Additionally, the adjusted EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation) is now anticipated to fall between $550 million and $560 million, compared to earlier projections of $470 million to $480 million.

Key Drivers of Growth

  • Enhanced Sports Betting Activity: The sports betting segment has shown remarkable growth, contributing significantly to the overall revenue.
  • Stable Casino Operations: The online casino segment has maintained steady performance, ensuring consistent revenue streams.
  • Operational Efficiencies: Improved operational efficiencies have played a crucial role in enhancing profit margins.

Neal Menashe, the Chief Executive Officer, remarked, “Our performance through the third quarter continues to demonstrate the resilience of our model and the strength of our execution.” He highlighted the strong contributions from both the sports and casino sectors, alongside deeper customer engagement and ongoing margin improvements across key markets.

Financial Insights

Alinda van Wyk, the Chief Financial Officer, noted that improved cost ratios have bolstered margins. “The consistency of our financial performance this quarter gives us confidence in our ability to drive both top-line and margin expansion,” she stated.

The bulk of the revenue growth is attributed to international markets. The company now expects revenue from outside the U.S. to be between $2.085 billion and $2.160 billion, with adjusted EBITDA projected at $575 million to $585 million.

Conversely, the U.S. operations present a different scenario. While revenues are projected to exceed $40 million for the year, an adjusted EBITDA loss of approximately $25 million is anticipated. In light of these challenges, Super Group has confirmed plans to exit the U.S. market by the end of 2025.
