Tabcorp Post Impressive Growth In H2 of 2024

Tabcorp Holdings Limited has announced improved financial results for the latter half of 2024.

Tabcorp’s latest financial report shows a substantial improvement across various metrics, signalling a period of growth and operational efficiency.

Revenue Growth

The gambling operator witnessed a substantial increase in its group revenue, which rose by 10.1% year-on-year to reach AU$1.33 billion (equivalent to $847.7 million).

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) saw a notable uptick of 12%, reaching AU$190.2 million ($121.2 million) compared to the same period in the previous year.

The company reported an increase in its net profit after tax (NPAT) before significant items, which climbed by 25.6% to AU$22.1 million ($14.1 million).

Tabcorp’s statutory NPAT showed a turnaround, reaching AU$25.3 million ($16.1 million). This represents an improvement from the net loss of AU$636.8 million ($406.1 million) reported in the second half of 2023.

The company’s earnings per share (EPS) experienced a positive shift, rising to 1.1 cents from a loss of 28.2 cents in the previous year.

In line with its improved financial performance, Tabcorp announced an interim dividend of 1.0 cent per share, unfranked. This dividend declaration signals the company’s commitment to delivering value to its shareholders and reflects management’s confidence in Tabcorp’s financial stability.
