The Londoner To Open In January 2021
Sands China Ltd has announced that their latest Macau resort The Londoner will start taking booking from January 22nd 2021.
However the company said the official launch of the venue will be held in February and will be Phase One of the development.
Robert Goldstein, president and chief operating officer of Las Vegas Sands, which is the parent company said: “The Londoner Macao will offer our guests another new and exciting experience while further illustrating our commitment to Macao and the expansion of its tourism offerings.”
The opening of the resort and the official opening in February coincides with what is generally known as the busiest time of the year for Macau with the Chinese New Year starting from February 12th.
Making the announcement given the current pandemic and restrictions on travel and indeed the concerns with gamblers to travel makes this planned opening a risk but with all major developments in Macau billions of dollars have been ploughed into the construction and planning of the resort has taken years.
Like everything around the world at present launching any new business especially one that is in hospitality and leisure is a huge risk.
