The Storming Of The Okada Manila Resort

Kazuo Okada

The billionaire founder of Universal Entertainment, a Japanese conglomerate which was controlled by Kazuo Okada tried to forcibly take control of his previous property at the Okada Manila Casino Resort on Tuesday.

In a statement by the operating company of the resort it said, “legitimate board members” were working to “achieve a swift resolution to the trespassing and illegal takeover” of the property that day, by individuals “representing Mr Kazuo Okada”.

“Please be assured that there is no change in the leadership and management of Universal Entertainment Corp, Tiger Resort Asia Ltd, or Tiger Resort, Entertainment and Leisure Inc [TRLEI],” added the statement issued in the name of the latter.

Mr Okada controlled the company and its subsidiary until he was ousted in 2017 after several trials accusing him of fraud, those trials never saw a conclusion however the board members managed to remove him from controlling the company and its Okada Manila resort.

However it seems that those representing Mr Okada believe that there will be a ruling to restore the parity back to 2017 and install the former founder to his controlling position.

Okada Manila went on to say “In the process, they also harmed and caused serious injuries against the other officers of the company, and their lawyers who were present.”

It is a bizarre set of circumstances involving the casino resort and clearly the dispute over the control of the holding company is no way near over as far as those representing Kazuo Okada.
