WMS buys Jadestone

WMS has announced the acquisition of online gaming content provider Jadestone Group AB for an undisclosed fee.

Termed as a “tuck-in” acquisition, Jadestone capabilities will enhance WMS’ portfolio of gaming content, online products & content distribution for online gaming companies while accelerating its strategy of further developing a suite of interactive products & services.

Jadestone primarily services customers in Europe which include Betfair, Betsson, bwin.party, Microgames & Unibet amongst other high profile gaming companies.

Orrin J. Edidin , president of WMS, said, “With a proven management team & a decade of experience in development & platform integration for online gaming industry leaders, Jadestone brings a complementary mix of expertise & technology solutions to WMS.”

Robert Henrysson , chief executive officer of Jadestone, added: “We are excited to join WMS & take full advantage of the many new opportunities available to develop leading end-to-end interactive solutions. Combining our entrepreneurial creativity with WMS culture of innovation sets an exciting next stage in our business development.”

Additionally, the tie-up will focus on the development of website, mobile & social platforms, Edidin adds: “Global gaming markets are rapidly moving toward content convergence & multi-channel distribution as consumers demand ready access to their favorite engaging entertainment content across multiple platforms.”

WMS is the parent company of UK-based JackpotParty.com online casino, recently launched its Lucky Cruise social casino on Facebook & has an established mobile portfolio.
