\"\"The deal by Evolution Gaming<\/a> to acquire NetEnt<\/a> for \u00a31.6 billion has been given the all clear by the UK\u2019s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).<\/p>\n

Both companies agreed to the merger back in June of this year but a delay was made because of the scrutiny involved by the CMA, however the watchdog has now given the green light to the companies who have already stated their goal moving forward would be focussing on the growing US market.<\/p>\n

The Swedish based online gaming supplier accepted an offer of a 43% premium on their shares from Evolution Gaming which many at the time believed was an over value of NetEnt and was an offer too good to refuse.<\/p>\n

Evolution Gaming said at the time in a statement said that some 45% of all voting rights at NetEnt had accepted the offer and another 23% of the remaining voting block of NetEnt had expressed their intention to vote in accepting the offer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
