Crown Resorts Barangaroo cannot open their casino<\/p><\/div>\n

After Crown Resorts<\/a> were found not suitable to hold a gaming license for their new resort in Sydney, their CEO Ken Barton<\/a> has stepped down from his role with immediate effect.<\/p>\n

Over the last ten days calls from all sides involved in the inquiry that concluded Crown Resorts were unable or were complicit in major breaches in its governance.<\/p>\n

Following the inquiry<\/a> by the New South Wales (NSW) Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority chaired by Former NSW Supreme Court judge Patricia Bergin. It was found that Crown was involved in “facilitating money laundering” and working with organised crime towards their VIP players.<\/p>\n

The announcement of the departure of Ken Barton is seen by some as necessary for the company to move forward as Barton was ultimately responsible<\/a> for the failings of the company.<\/p>\n

Helen Coonan, Crown Resorts Chair will now head up the search for a new CEO, to hopefully find a person able to lead the company out of what has been a disastrous period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
