\"\"The Las Vegas<\/a> Strip has been seeing more customers enter their venues but revenues are still well below expectations.<\/p>\n

February results reported by the Nevada<\/a> Gaming Control Board show that statewide revenues for Nevada are 26% lower than the same period in 2020, that is just one month prior to the COVID-19 outbreak hit the US.<\/p>\n

Although tourist figures rose 19% from January this year to 1.5 million, it is still a depressed 54% lower than February 2020.<\/p>\n

Hotel room occupancy is 87% lower than the same period last year, even thou it is up 10% from the previous month said the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.<\/p>\n

The month saw casinos<\/a> win $772.4 million a slight increase from the month before, but not close to the $1 billion win in February 2020 which was one of Nevada\u2019s biggest ever win figures.<\/p>\n

Nevada are expecting March to have a marked improvement on last year given the hit casinos took from closing down due to the start of the pandemic in 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
