However if you showed a full comparison given that March 2020 was affected by the close down due to the COVID-19 pandemic then profits were up 11%.<\/p>\n<p>Last week local government officials lifted restriction on capacity within casinos and operators are hoping for a second quarter bounce now they are allowed at full capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Within the online sector in Atlantic City Golden Nugget Online Gaming took the lead with profits of $7.9 million up almost 24% compared to last year with Caesars Interactive Entertainment NJ second with 44.5 million rising 20% and in third Resorts Digital earned nearly $4.3 million which is up a massive 59% in comparison to 2020 figures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement announced that first quarter gross operating profits rose to $95 million that is three times more than the same period in 2020, given that casinos were closed down in March last year it was no surprise.
