This growth in revenue indicates that while the company is generating more income, it is simultaneously facing challenges that have impacted its overall profitability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">A pivotal event influencing Genting UK&#8217;s financial results was the closure of the Crockford Club, the oldest casino in Britain, which ceased operations in October 2023 after 195 years. This closure not only marked the end of an era but also had substantial financial implications for the company.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Impairment Charges<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Following the closure, Genting UK incurred an impairment charge of \u00a310.3 million. Additionally, customer attendance rose by 10%, reaching nearly three million visitors.
