Whitworth will revert to her previous roles as Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">John H. Ott&#8217;s appointment is seen as a culmination of Rank Group&#8217;s planned leadership transition. He replaces Alex Thursby, who stepped down earlier this year. This change is not merely cosmetic; it reflects a strategic shift aimed at enhancing the company&#8217;s governance and operational effectiveness. Ott&#8217;s extensive experience in international business, particularly in highly regulated sectors, positions him as a strong leader for Rank Group as it embarks on its next chapter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">With over 40 years in the financial services sector, Ott&#8217;s career trajectory includes significant roles at McKinsey &amp; Company and Barclays Bank, where he was the Group Strategy and M&amp;A Director. His nearly two-decade tenure at Bain has seen him advising global boards and CEOs, equipping him with the insights necessary to steer Rank Group through its upcoming challenges.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Strategic Comments from Leadership<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Commenting on Ott&#8217;s appointment, Whitworth stated, \u201cDuring a rigorous and wide-ranging selection process, John emerged as the stand-out candidate to become Rank\u2019s chair. His wealth of experience in highly regulated industries, and his track record advising and working with boards across the globe, will provide the Group with the expertise and leadership it requires as we embark on the next phase of our strategic journey.\u201d This endorsement underscores the confidence the board has in Ott&#8217;s capabilities.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Financial Performance and Future Outlook<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Rank Group has recently reported a robust financial performance, returning to profitability across its major divisions, including Grosvenor Casinos, Mecca Bingo, and Rank Digital. For the financial year 2024\/25, the company recorded a remarkable 38% increase in underlying like-for-like operating profit, reaching \u00a363.7 million, compared to \u00a346.3 million in the previous year. Statutory Group operating profits more than doubled, rising to \u00a367 million from \u00a329.4 million.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Reflecting its improved financial health, the Board has recommended a final dividend of 1.95 pence per share, bringing the total dividend for the year to 2.60 pence per share.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\">Upcoming Changes in 2026<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As Rank Group looks ahead to 2026, it faces a pivotal year filled with transformative initiatives.
