Wynn Resorts Name Person to Make Gambling in UAE Reality

Hospitality veteran Thomas Schoen has been named as the man to bring casino gambling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as he has been named as the new President of Wynn Al Marjan.
Wynn Resorts the casino giant that has already announced that it is to build a $3.9 billion resort that will include a casino in the UAE has now named their man to take the project to reality.
Schoen has three decades in luxury hospitality and will focus on that side of the business along with colleagues that will guide the company with the gaming part of the business.
Although the UAE has yet to announce any legislation allowing for gambling it is known that it is only a matter of time as the emirate state wants to increase further its focus on leisure and hospitality including gambling. At present there are strict rules under Shariah laws banning gambling and how the rulers get around these is yet to be seen, however the attraction of becoming a gambling hub to the Arabian peninsula and drawing in high value customers will ensure laws will be accommodated possibly only allowing foreign nationals to gamble.
Now with Thomas Schoen announced as the President and with a 2027 date to begin construction it is estimated that gambling in the UAE could be a reality before the end of 2030.
