Wynn Resorts Post A $1 Billion Loss For Half Year

Wynn Resorts has announced a $1 billion loss for the first half of 2020 following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that saw it temporary close both Las Vegas and Macau operations.
Revenues for the period matched that of its loss at $1.04 billion which represents a drop of $3.3 billion from the previous corresponding year, which is a fall of 68.6%.
The operators Macau operations had to close from the beginning of February and reopened up on the 20th February, however Macau is suffering hugely from the impact of travel restrictions from mainland China and Hong Kong.
In the US Las Vegas casinos had to close March 17th and were only allowed to reopen on June 4th but again business is at a reduced rate.
