Wynn wants in to online gambling in NJ

[corner-ad id=3]Steve Wynn and his online arm of his land based gambling empire has thrown in his hat to join the New Jersey online gambling sector with Wynn Interactive LLC. Once the man who said that Atlantic City was the “enemy” has now officially applied for an online gambling license in the state.

However the company which has now land based casino operation in New Jersey will have to look for a partner so to offer online gambling as all licensees require a land based operator to do so under New Jersey law.

Online gambling in the state is scheduled to start operating at the end of November and already many companies have applied to New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement for their Internet gambling licenses. But the partner for Wynn Interactive has yet to be announced as Lisa Spengler, a spokeswoman for the Division of Gaming Enforcement, said Wynn Interactive’s petition for a casino service license is considered confidential and would not be released.

Out of all the Atlantic City operators yet to announce a partnership with an online gambling supplier only Revel Casino-Hotel and the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel have yet to do so. The former has well documented litigation already with the parent company of PokerStars, the Rational Group who tried to acquire the casino to operate online gambling, but following litigation the casino operator is now free to find another partner.

Of course Wynn was also known to have announced a partnership with PokerStars prior to the US DOJ legal action into the online poker giant, to which then Steve Wynn withdrew his involvement in working with PokerStars, so it would be a huge twist if the Las Vegas based casino boss was to either partner or purchase the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel.

Eventually Wynn Interactive will have to reveal their partnership in New Jersey, but with just two operators left it is a fifty-fifty bet which one it is.
