Yobetit to sponsor Malta Pride

As one of the fastest growing LGBTQ+ locations in the world, Malta’s pride celebrations have become a huge part of its annual calendar. And with the event months away, thanks to a new sponsor, it’s an event that is making headlines around the world.
The Maltese based igaming firm, Yobetit, has confirmed that this year it will sponsor Malta’s annual Pride celebrations, which are due to take place in September. This announcement comes following a new partnership alongside the Allied Rainbow Communities and was greeted with much excitement by all involved.
This years event has been created as a celebration ‘from riots to rainbows’ in the ‘hopes of remembering the past and shaping the future’. It aims to raise awareness of the journey that the LGBTQ+ community has experienced, with highs and lows being equally considered,
The celebrations are due to take place from the 6th until the 15th September and the firm confirmed that it was ‘excited to be part of such an important event’. In its media release, it admitted that it was ‘committed to doing everything’ that it could to help bring about equality, both within and outside of the igaming world.
The organisers of the event echoed these sentiments, with coordinator, Clayton Mercieca, explaining that they were ‘excited to have’ them onboard and were thankful for the support that they had provided.
Although celebrations will span the whole week, the main march is to be held on Saturday the 14th September and will last until the evening. It is due to start at The Granaries in Floriana and finish in St George’s Square, Valletta. The concert will finish at 11pm, with a number of diverse acts due to perform.
Having repeatedly topped the European Rainbow Index, for the fourth year in a row, it is fast becoming one of the most popular locations for the LGBTQ community.
Again, Clayton Mercieca echoed these comments, reminding people of the mutual benefits that come from equality.
“Pride is a time where visibility and recognition is given to a minority and a time where we can express ourselves in great numbers without feeling judged. Companies like Yobetit enable us to grow this movement each year to reach out to more and more people who are at the fringes of society, and to help us to give a voice to those who are underrepresented. We look forward to take this partnership in ways that is of mutual benefit to all involved.”
