Women in Gaming Presents The Diversity & Employee Wellbeing Awards 2019
The Employee Diversity Awards is open to all within the gaming industry, nominations can be made by the individual or by a colleague or company.

B2B Excellence Award
Given to either an individual or team in the online or land based sectors, the award will recognize the superb work offered to the Business to Business industry, the successful entries will cover the overall service given to their clients in areas such as Marketing, Project Management, Account Management, Sales, Full end to end delivery, technical services or any other service company that caters for the B2B sector. Examples of the excellent service offered to clients including testimonials would be considered along with written evidence of the work carried out to show true excellence in this highly competitive market.
Best in House initiative Internal Communication
The winner of this award be it an internal communications team or company initiative is to recognise and celebrate how you use the use of communication to engage employees within the workforce. Using internal communication to inspire and not just to use as a tool for communication and information. Judges will choose the winner who has shown a clear strategy on engagement of the workforce towards internal communication. Examples of how this has been attained along with employee feedback will help make the judges decision making.
Company of the Year
The Company Diversity award recognises those businesses that demonstrate a holistic and long-term commitment to equality whether it by gender, race or sexual orientation and have delivered significant progress in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace for all their employees.
Best Place to Work
The Judges will award the winner of this category on a set of values that has led to a committed, effective, motivated and diverse workforce. The judges will award the highest scores to what sets your company apart from the competition and how it has benefitted the business and its people. Examples of Employee wellbeing and the company making a real cultural change within their workplace for the benefit of all will decide the winner of this very important category.
Best Use of Technology
This award recognises the use of technology that encourages and supports employee engagement and will be looking for a people-first approach to using technology to encourage, motivate and inspire. Company entries that can show a measurable impact of the technology on employee engagement and how the organization has gained from the use of technology in a positive way to engage their workforce.
Championing (LGBT) Inclusion Award
This award will recognise a company, team within that company or a group or network initiating and leading action to remove barriers and improve the working wellbeing and engagement levels of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, in demonstrating the inclusion of LGBT within the workplace.
Companies in the modern world not only consider their employees when engaging, they contribute to the wider community to inspire and truly engage their workforce. This award will recognise those exceptional companies that have or are running projects or a program that engages not just employees but the wider community outside of work. Companies that look at the social impact they can have to engage the community, whether this be on the focus of recruitment, social improvement or impact from the company and the reduction of impact on it in a positive way. Judges will award the winner that has shown examples of how their company has shown a positive impact towards community engagement.
Innovator of the Year
This award will go to the woman, at any level in the organisation, who has made an innovative contribution that has transformed the business, in terms of profile, results, improvement in best practices, efficiency or operating procedures. Helping that company achieve a marked improvement.
Inspiration of the Year
This award will go to the woman whose efforts are bringing about positive cultural change for women within her organisation. This could be someone who is influencing or implementing programmes to support the development of women in the business.
Diversity & Inclusion
This award will go to the company/organization that shows it actively encourages diversity and inclusion in its workforce. How that company defines diversity and inclusion and how it focuses on those communities such as LGBT, women and people from BME backgrounds and people of disability and other minorities.
The company/organization does not have to include all in its workforce but shows a strategy even it be for one minority for inclusion but offers support and encouragement to all people of minority.
Diverse and Inclusive Team of the Year
The Team Diversity award recognizes those teams that demonstrate a holistic and long-term commitment to equality whether it by gender, race or sexual orientation and have delivered significant progress in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace for all their employees.
Employee of the Year
This award will be given to the person who has met the following awards criteria of “VALUES”, which is for the employee to reach a high level of the following; V: Very Serviced Orientated, A: Assumes Responsibility of the work, L: Looks for new ways of innovation, U: Uses open communication, E: Everyone in the team counts, S: Supports their team above and beyond the call.
Employee Wellbeing Award
It is widely known that the wellbeing of a companies employees is key to achieving the targets and goals of that company, this award will recognise and celebrate the winner that has shown an initiative in doing just that. The winner will have shown the initiatives towards wellbeing it employees to better engage its people to improve day-to-day productivity and create a better working environment for all within the company. The judges will award the winner that not only says it has wellbeing of employees at its heart but shows and demonstrates those initiatives.
Excellence in Customer Service
This Award is open to any individual or team that has differentiated itself through a well-communicated customer commitment, the judges will look at the individual or team that has measurably improved its customer satisfaction rating, has excellent relationships between the CS and its customers and that these implementations have increased the efficiency and rating of their company.
Awarded to the most influential women in the industry who has made significant contribution to the success of their organization, showed dedication and commitment and influenced development of the gaming industry.
This award will be selected by the judges from the finalists of all categories listed above and will go to one exceptional person whose vision, innovative approach and success make them an outstanding role model that will inspire others to choose a career in Land based Gaming or iGaming industry.
Innovation in Employee Engagement
In our modern world employee engagement is key to a successful business, the winner of this award will show examples of how they engage their workforce in innovative ways. Judges will want to see how a company defines employee engagement and why it is so important for that company to engage their people. What novel ways does your company manage to do this and how do you measure the success on those ways you engage?

This category is open to all female team, department and business leaders working in the iGaming industry, nominees could be Team Leaders, Managers, Directors, CEO, CFO within the iGaming business. The importance of the leader will be marked on showing a proven ability to lead in a positive environment, helping inspire and lead that team to internal or external successes.
Leader of the Year
This category is open to all female team, department and business leaders working in the gaming industry, nominees could be Team Leaders, Managers, Directors, CEO, CFO within the business. The importance of the leader will be marked on showing a proven ability to lead in a positive environment, helping inspire and lead that team to internal or external successes.
Positive Role Model of the Year
This important award will recognise someone within a company or organization that truly is a role model in helping drive goals, achieving tasks helping to gain success and showing how they positively engage with others as an example to all within the workplace. Now only this but a role model that has overcome their own challenges, whether it be disability, sexual discrimination, race, ageism sexual orientation or any other obstacle that they have overcome and shown a positive approach to others within their workplace.
Star of the Future
This award will go to the woman, whose energy, ambition and generosity of spirit represents the positive future of the gambling industry.
Young Leader of the Year
A female under the age of 30, or who turns 30 in 2018, who has progressed rapidly though their career and demonstrated business value and innovation through their hard work and endeavor. This could include demonstrations of successfully deploying technologies; improving how a company approaches technology; delivering effective technology strategies; creating business value, efficiencies and cost savings, or improving services, driving new innovation in the industry; or furthering knowledge for the company they work in.
