Lithuania Bans All Forms Of Gambling Advertising

The Lithuanian parliament has voted to ban all forms of gambling advertising within the country to try and tackle problem gambling, in a vote this week lawmakers have voted to ban all forms of gambling ads on televisions and radio along with any other media or mass gathering events such as sporting or social gatherings.
In the vote by parliamentarians this week it is hope that the new ban will reduce the spend residents are staking on gambling and will come into full effect on July 1st.
The Gambling Supervisory Authority (GSA) conducted a survey late last year and found that 76% of all adults questioned approved a gambling advertisement reduction and 52% thought gambling ads should be banned altogether. In the survey the GSA also found that 47% of all questioned said they had seen or heard gambling advertisements.
