Sheldon Adelson the casino billionaire who founded Las Vegas Sands was laid to rest in Jerusalem on Friday the 15th January after passing away following a long illness from non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was at the airport for the arrival of the coffin carrying Adelson to his final resting place at the Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives, just outside the walls of Jerusalem’s Old City.
The Israeli Prime Minister paid his last respects to a man that strongly supported him during his campaigns and also in the recognition by US outgoing President Donald Trump in officially recognising Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Some thought that Donald Trump himself may attend the arrival of Sheldon Adelson’s coffin arriving at the airport but only Benjamin Netanyahu attended the arrival.
