Aristocrat’s Spanish Vision

ARISTOCRAT recently announced its third U.S. virtual casino development, linking with MTR Gaming Group, Inc. to create a play-for-fun online casino solution for its Scioto Downs Casino & Racetrack in Columbus, Ohio, with its first-in-the-industry nLive™ technology.
“After conducting extensive research of all of the available options, we chose Aristocrat’s nLive technology because its open architecture will easily replicate our brick-and-mortar facility,” said Jeff Dahl, President and Chief Executive Officer of MTR Gaming Group. “A robust online presence is critical for the company’s long-term business strategy.”
“Aristocrat’s solution has very strong content, such as skill-based games, table games and poker, and the platform is designed to extend our individual brand,” added Mr. Dahl. “The entire package made the choice very simple.”
Aristocrat Vice President of System Sales and Marketing Kelly Shaw said extensive data analysis shows play-for-fun casinos prepare operators for play-for-money sites.
“Data shows that operators who launch a free-play site establish new customer relationships in a new online demographic, which can be translated to a new revenue stream when online gaming is legalized,” Ms. Shaw said. “MTR Gaming Group is investing in our solution with this vision in mind.”
“Other suppliers are creating online solutions to compete with operators, but Aristocrat’s innovative nLive is a simple, turnkey solution that empowers operators to take their brand to players online,” Ms. Shaw added. “Simply, nLive helps properties extend their bricks and mortar experience and the open architecture of the platform enables the operator to replicate the best games experience for their players.”
The gaming firm has also goy its eyes on Spanish street gaming, as it looks at formally launching its new Type B Salon product Where’s the Gold at FER-Interazar in Madrid, following a sneek peak at ICE Totally Gaming in London.
The company also used the London show to debut a Viridian widescreen version of its Italian VLT system, which is used by Cogetech. This, along with the Indago terminals and Belago system about to be launched into Norwegian bingo halls by Norsk Tipping, is based on Aristocrat’s TruServ server-based gaming technology.
Said Sam Nickless, Aristocrat’s managing director for emerging business and strategy: “The cultivation of our core content, to bring it to as many places in the world as we can, is an important part of our strategy. Aristocrat is looking to reach as many different players in regulated markets as we possibly can. Whether that is through mobile devices, online, VLTs, street or casino gaming equipment, our key aim is to get our games into players’ hands.”
